Wide nordic spaces and a cry emerging from silence: Thats how you could describe the new EP of Mayiia.
Originally coming from Jazz, she has been experimenting with different noises and musical elements for the last few years.
Her new EP features danceable songs with ripples of melancholy, telling stories carried by lyrics of impressionistic imagery.
Her voice, accompanied mainly by the otherworldly sounds from Tounge-drum and hints of piano is occasionally spiced up by some electronics. – A response to having spent some time touring and traveling abroad.
«All music comes from silence and ends in silence», says Mayiia.
